PA WIC also offers the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). This program allows you to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables at local farmers’ markets between June 1 and November 30.

How to Use Food Lists
Before you shop, look at the food lists so you know what you can and cannot buy. When you shop, look for the pink WIC approved sticker item.
Keep in Mind:
- ZYou do not need to buy all your foods at one time. Buy what you need when you need it.
- ZCoupons and store promotions (“buy one get one free”) may be used with your eWIC card.
- ZBenefits that have not been spent DO NOT carry over to the next benefit period.

Using Your eWIC Card
Your eWIC card is loaded just for you by your nutritionist.
To make the most of your eWIC card, you should:
- ZKnow your benefit balance. The best way to know your balance is to keep your last receipt.
- ZProtect your card by keeping it safe and not giving your PIN to anyone other than your trained WIC proxy.
- ZNot throw your eWIC card away after you have used all your benefits. Your card may be reloaded.
- ZWhen buying food:
- \Tell the cashier you are using an eWIC card before any foods are scanned.
- \Insert your card into the card reader and follow the directions. The system will ask you to enter your PIN.
- ZImmediately report to your local WIC office if your card is lost or stolen or does not work at the store.
